This month we’ve worked with the most active corporate lawyer in Manchester, promoted the talent of northern artists, organised ground-breaking ceremonies and helped a client celebrate their 21st anniversary. Here are our latest 30 second campaign overviews. Enjoy!
New website for old legal practice
We’ve just put the finishing touches to a new website for Croftons Solicitors, a long-established practice that specialises in housing and regeneration.
The firm’s new marketing manager wanted a responsive website that reflected the firm’s national standing and also positioned it as dynamic and modern.
Thanks to our tried and trusted approach to designing and building websites, the project couldn’t have gone any smoother.
As well as manging photography of all partners, we provided full training on the content management system and designed a selection of email marketing templates for the firm’s marketing team to use.
We were pretty chuffed to receive this message:

Promoting northern artists
Our design team loves working with art galleries.
This month they completed a 68-page catalogue to accompany an exhibition running at Clark Art, a gallery with a national reputation for promoting the work of northern artists.
Gallery owner Bill Clark specialises in established artists such as L.S. Lowry but also promotes the work of upcoming artists – provided they’re northerners!
Our designers had to work to very tight deadlines but, as always, did a great job.
21 years of success
A few months ago, our long-standing client Equilibrium Asset Management asked us to ‘come up with some ideas’ to help them mark their 21st anniversary in 2016.
Given such free rein, our imaginations ran a little wild. Fortunately, Equilibrium is known for its generosity of spirit in community and client relations, so they welcomed our ideas with open arms.
We proposed a calendar of activity, culminating in a massive 21st party at Tatton Park to be held in November.
To launch the campaign, we targeted financial and investment journalists with tailored media drops. This activity has already led to widespread coverage in key publications and several in-depth interviews with founding partner, Colin Lawson.
We’ve also helped produce a digital timeline that sets out major landmarks at Equilibrium since 1995, against a backdrop of world affairs. This nostalgic piece of content is hosted on the Equilibrium website and has been great for sharing on social media.
Another idea we’re particularly proud of is ’21 days of giving’, which has involved the team at Equilibrium pledging to raise £21k for local charities in 21 days through the year. This campaign perfectly marries Equilibrium’s noteworthy community charity initiatives with its 21st anniversary year.
HB Villages is a developer of specialist supported housing developments, which provide homes for vulnerable adults with physical and learning difficulties.
Put simply, HB Villages improves the quality of life for these individuals, enabling them to live as independently as possible within the community, while also reducing the strain on NHS resources.
As well as handling their media relations, we manage the ground breaking, topping out and opening ceremonies they hold to mark the start of construction, completion and opening of their developments.
2016 has been particularly active and seen our team organising and attending ceremonies across the UK, from Sunderland and Newcastle to Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent.
We’re certainly not complaining. It’s heart-warming work. And where else would you get to secure the political support of Lord Mayors and council cabinet members, organise cakes decorated with bricks and adorn sites with balloons and ribbons, ready to welcome tenants whose lives will be transformed?
Of course, we also love seeing the local media coverage that always follows these landmark events.
We always have lots of interesting projects on the go for bakery giant Warburtons but we especially enjoyed designing and producing the company’s 28-page Reward Guide this month.
It goes to all Warburtons staff and showcases all the great ways they look after their people - from offering an award-winning pension scheme to discounts on products.
As well as looking good by featuring lots of strong images and infographics, the design is practical and enables the Warburtons team to personalise them by including individual inserts into a special section at the back. Feedback has been fantastic.
Most active corporate lawyer
We were delighted when one of our clients was named the ‘Most active legal adviser in Manchester’.
Simon Wallwork of Slater Heelis LLP topped the advisory community table produced by data company Experian, with a total of eighteen transactions in 2015.
Simon has more than 27 years’ experience in corporate transactions and advising clients in a wide variety of sectors but has particularly deep sector knowledge in life sciences and technology.
Although we work with Simon on a day to day basis, we needed to ensure the wider market knew about this specific accolade. After drafting a press release and setting up a number of media interviews, we’ve secured lots of coverage for Simon.
Naturally, we’ve amplified the message loud and proud on social media, too.
Strategic media relations
We welcomed a new client this month, facilities management company Oltec FM. Already successful, with many high profile clients, the company’s charismatic leader Olivier Cavaliere has ambitious plans for further growth.
Fortunately, he recognises the importance of marketing so we’re working closely with his in-house team to implement a strategic PR and social media campaign that will raise the company’s profile and put it right under the noses of key decision makers.
