After graduating, Ruth kicked off her career in arts marketing and worked with several leading organisations including Welsh National Opera and the Royal Exchange Theatre. After turning down a fantastic opportunity to promote a world tour with the Royal Shakespeare Company, she decided to switch careers and joined one of the UK’s leading full service agencies.

She made rapid progress to account director before the agency was bought by an overseas conglomerate. The new management didn’t suit her so at the suggestion of a loyal client she set up RMS PR in 1991.

Ruth says the intervening years have flown and she is one of the luckiest people around because she still loves going into the office.

Honesty, decency, hard work, fun and a passion for delivering a genuine commercial value to clients are the core values upon which Ruth has built RMS PR. Ruth treasures the highly talented, passionate, creative and hard working team she has gathered around her, while her precious daughter Alexis is the light of her life.
