RMS’s global digital reach

An individual visitor to the www.SaveOurSeafarers.com website forwarded a link to a short piece of film to us on Twitter.

It was a gruelling clip, shot by Somali pirates themselves, showing Danish and Filipino hostages pleading for help, which had appeared on a local bulletin board, ‘Somali Report’. http://tiny.cc/j4zlo

The SOS account team seized the opportunity to put the film onto our client’s website (which RMS is retained to manage). The item was then picked up by AP (Associated Press) in Nairobi, Kenya, who contacted RMS for detailed information.

AP subsequently syndicated the story, worldwide, in a release featuring our client’s name and website address, with a ‘quote’. The story appeared in on-line and print publications around the world, racking up an incredible 320,000 search results on Google within 24 hours. Countless millions of people had the chance to get our client’s campaign message.
