Our long-standing client Swizzels (makers of iconic Love Hearts, Parma Violets and Refreshers) asked us for a campaign to raise awareness of their newest product Bon Bons.
After doing our research, we discovered that April is National Stress Awareness Month. Which gave us an idea.
We started by preparing and delivering ‘stress busting’ goodie bags to key national journalists. Comprising of relaxing candles, bath bombs, stress balls and, of course, packs of Bon Bons to ‘make life sweeter’, these went down a storm and led to lots of positive sentiment and social media activity.
Next, we created a gigantic inflatable ball pit, filled it with Bon Bon coloured balls and had it installed at the Swizzels factory so the staff could relax, having some fun and letting off stream. They loved it. So did the media.
Coverage has already appeared in several nationals, including the Daily Mirror and Metro while the regional media has also taken it to their hearts. Shares via the Manchester Evening News have topped 12,000 and lots of people now know about Bon Bons and associate them with happy, stress free times. Job’s a good ‘un.
